Boxcar 73, Kobe, Japan

I stumbled upon this rather surreal art exhibit in Kobe's Earthquake Park. Over 100 boxcars had been lined up like cheap mobile homes and each had been given to an artist or art group to decorate as they saw fit. This one was filled with bamboo slats, woven to form a sort of nest. As I crawled through it, it grew darker and darker, until I reached the edge of the nest. There was a sculpture beyond the edge, shrouded in darkness, and it was possible to reach through the lattice and touch it with my fingertips. Then I turned around and this is what I saw: the way out.
